KHARTOUM - A delegation from the military junta during its visit today suspended medical supplies on the drug stand. The head of the Economic Committee of the Military Council Major General Ibrahim Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim reassured about the drug position after he toured the drug stores and control room and various sections of the National Fund for Medical Supplies. He stressed the existence of coordination and management of the Court of the quantities of medicines in the stores to provide medicines for public hospitals and pharmacies.
In his meeting with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, the Director of Medical Supplies and all departmental directors, the Chairman of the Economic Committee praised the development and supply of supplies to the rest of the governmental institutions. Major General Ibrahim suggested upgrading medical supplies to a research center in pharmacy sciences.
He disclosed an agreement with pharmaceutical companies to help increase drug production and export of medicine to neighboring countries, while pharmaceutical companies pledged to fill gaps and provide all life-saving medicines for medical supplies.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health expected the increase in the availability of medicines to 95% of the supplies, pointing to the start of importing drugs after solving the problem of corporate debts with the support of the Military Council.
