KHARTOUM -Secretary-General of the Presidency Lt. Gen. Mohamed Ali Ibrahim affirmed that Sudan is moving steadily towards a comprehensive democratic transformation that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people with all their affiliations and achieves their legitimate aspirations for freedom, peace and justice.
Speaking at the Egyptian Embassy in Khartoum, he praised the celebrations of the 67th anniversary of the 23rd of July 1952 revolution, the Sudanese-Egyptian relations and the level of cooperation between the two countries in all fields, He explained that the Sudanese-Egyptian relations are characterized by privacy based on the ties of culture, history and geography, pointing to the participation of the Sudanese army in the war of October 1973, along with the Egyptian army.
During the ceremony, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Ali thanked the Sudanese government and people for the government of Egypt for its honorable stand and support to Sudan during this important period of its history.
The Secretary General stressed the keenness of the leadership in Sudan to support and develop the relations between the two countries through enhancing the work of the joint bilateral committees and the continuation of meetings between senior officials in the two countriesLt. Gen. Mohamed Ali thanked the government and people of Sudan for His Excellency President Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt for his efforts in activating everything that would develop relations between the two countries.
For his part, Ambassador Hossam Essa, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Khartoum, thanked the Secretary General of the Presidency for honoring these celebrations for this great national day.
