KHARTOUM - A member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Prof Sideeg Tawor, stressed the importance of the Kingdom of Netherland as a friend to Sudan based on the bilateral relations between the two countries that spanned sixty years.
H.E. said upon meeting in his office at the Republican Palace today, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherz in Khartoum, Karen Bouven, that Sudan is witnessing a new era through which it looks forward to great cooperation and support from the Kingdom.
Ambassador Karen Boven explained in a press statement that the meeting comes within the framework of preparations for a visit by a member of the Sovereign Council to Europe that includes the Kingdom of Netherlands, noting that she met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of her kingdom in January in order to arrange and facilitate the visit to confirm the Kingdom's desire to develop its relations with Sudan.
She added that the meeting discussed the developing and increasing cooperation between the two sides in the field of the private sector and economic development.
